HIRING - Fulfilment Agent

We have been on a great growth spurt this year and now produce and send more macarons than we've ever done before so we need a full time member of staff to help in the last stage of production when the macarons leave our kitchen. 

This role focuses on getting our macarons out to customers in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. From orders that come in via our e-commerce platform, third party platforms such as Yumbles.com or from our sales department who deal with corporate, wedding and wholesale customers, you will be packing our macarons and sending them out the door. There will be an element of handling customer enquiries if they need to change delivery details such as an address or preferred delivery date. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managing and processing the dispatch of incoming orders. This means booking couriers, printing off address labels from a Royal Mail system, looking at orders that have come in overnight and organizing them so that they go out on the right day and packing the macarons into boxes. 

- Handle enquiries regarding online orders e.g. checking your email inbox 1-2 times a day to see if a customer has been in touch regarding changing shipment date. You will also have access to a phone and our phone line gives customers the option to speak to our web fulfilment team. 

- Monitoring stock for packaging materials: we perform a stock take once a week and you will be responsible for ordering in the materials you need to do your job, from cardboard boxes to packing tape, we will rely on you to notice that and act accordingly. 

- Working with the kitchen team and using resources wisely: our packing station is in our kitchen and sometimes we need to pull together so we need someone who can look at the bigger picture and call in the backup when needed. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Efficient worker able to manage their own workload
  • Good team player while also able to work independently
  • Able to handle customer enquiries 
  • Comfortable with using online systems (training will be given)

SCHEDULE: We need this position to start by the end of October. This is a Monday – Friday position from 9.00am – 5.00pm. There is a degree of flexibility around start and finish times to help those with home and care commitments.
