HIRING: Sales Assistant

Mademoiselle Macaron is looking for an amazing individual for a part time Monsieur or Mademoiselle to join our team at our retail outlet based at Waverley Mall, Edinburgh. 

This role isn’t just about selling the product we make, this is about hosting an experience where a customer gets to create their own unique box of flavours that will transport them to Paris - the home of the macaron. 

You must be able to work by yourself and as a team as you will have to be at the shop alone.  

Responsibilities:

  • Cash handling 
  • Explaining and educating our customers on our products as well as handling daily sales transactions
  • Ensuring the retail area is kept clean and beautiful to maintain high standards
  • Visual merchandising 
  • Making tea and coffee

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in retail or hospitality is ideal but not required 
  • Experience with an EPOS system like Shopify even better
  • Enthusiasm for the brand and product
  • Flexibility on hours as shifts will range from mornings (9.30am start) to late evenings (7pm) and we are open seven days a week.
  • Basic coffee training is ideal but not required

This is a temporary Christmas position with us starting ASAP but will be extended into 2020 if we find the right candidate.  

Pay: £8.21/hour

Hours: minimum 9 hours/week but will be flexible in the run up to the festive period.
