Mademoiselle chats with Marvling Bros Ltd.

For Mademoiselle Rachel her first bite of a macaron represented a moment of luxury and as such, we strive to ensure that each of our customers experiences a taste of Paris with every bite. That's why we only work with likeminded companies.
With a brand new year of macaron subscription gifts for 2024 the team had so much fun identifying gifts that we'd love to receive as well as gift. Our February box was a hotly contested one as we all wanted to include things we loved for Valentine's Day! We think the chosen add-on is just magnifique. We sat down for a (virtual!) cup of tea with Emma from Marvling Bros Ltd. to chat about macarons, a love of all miniature...mainly things that fit into matchboxes and more!
Tell us a little about yourself, what's your business, and when did you start?
Hi! We are Marvling Bros Ltd. We started our business 10 years ago.
The idea for our company came about from a school competition ‘How much can you fit in a matchbox?’ Inspired by the concept we decided to create gift experiences that would fit in matchbox, and hence Marvling Bros was born. We design and create matchbox keepsakes, small enough to pop in your pocket, yet large enough to create a lasting impression.
What do you consider your moment of luxury?
My morning coffee before anyone else is awake. The house is so peaceful and quiet.
What’s your favourite flavour of macaron?
We are massive macaron fans. Passionfruit is my absolute favourite, but with a cup of coffee salted caramel goes down a treat!
How do you serve / enjoy your macarons?
With a cup of coffee, and family and friends. There is a whole ritual around the picking of the macaron, before you even get to taste it!
What do you love about your job?
We love getting feedback from happy customers, and hearing how their loved ones have reacted to the matchboxes.
Coming up with new ideas and designs is always fun. We are from creative backgrounds, so this is our favourite part of our job.

We love their business, like ours it is about bringing people together, and putting the emphasis on time spent together rather than extravagant expensive gifts.
What makes you stand out from other businesses?
We make it easy to send fun and affordable creative gifts, lighting up the world of your someone special with thoughtfully crafted messages - a present that truly says ‘I’m thinking of you.’
Emma we are so delighted to be including the Matchbox Bouquet of Roses in our February Subscription Box - we're sure they're going to be making lots of Valentine's Day gifts alongside our macarons this month.
