Standard Terms of Use

  1. Do not upload offensive comments or material to mademoisellemacaron.co.uk. These will be deleted and posts that break the law may be reported to the police.
  2. All rights in the site design, text, graphics and other content, interfaces, and the selection and arrangements thereof belong to Mademoiselle Macaron Ltd. (mademoisellemacaron.co.uk) or its licensors. All rights are reserved save as set out below. Permission is granted to electronically copy and to print hard copy portions of this site for the sole purpose of placing an order with Mademoiselle Macaron Ltd. (mademoisellemacaron.co.uk) or using this site as a shopping resource. Any other use of materials on this site, including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, modification, distribution, or republication is strictly prohibited.
  3. Disclaimers and Limitations on Mademoiselle Macaron Ltd. (mademoisellemacaron.co.uk). Website Terms for Sale of Goods

Classes

  1. Classes are run by Mademoiselle Macaron and are held at 22 Grindlay Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9AP
  2. Classes run 6.00pm – 9.00pm.
  3. In booking an evening course with Mademoiselle Macaron, you are booking for one individual evening at the time and date specified.
  4. You can only change the date of your course up to two weeks beforehand and this is subject to available spaces for another date.
  5. Courses cancelled by the customer two weeks beforehand will not be refunded.
  6. If you find you are unable to attend an evening course, you are welcome to send someone in your place, even at very short notice. However, you must notify us in advance if you wish to do this.
  7. Mademoiselle Macaron will not be liable for loss of personal property on the premises.
  8. To book a course using a Gift Voucher, you are required to redeem it at your cart. Each voucher has a code which must be entered in the coupon section of the shopping cart.
  9. If a Gift Voucher is lost by you, it cannot be replaced.
  10. We cannot redeem lost Gift Vouchers
  11. It is your responsibility to ensure that the recipient can attend classes. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, or refunded. In the event that a voucher holder is unable to attend classes, Mademoiselle Macaron reserves the right to offer a gift voucher for the full amount.
  12. You can only rebook a class once. If you are unable to attend your second date, we cannot offer a refund.
  13. Gift Vouchers are redeemable against any class date set by Mademoiselle Macaron but places are subject to availability.
  14. Gift Vouchers are valid for one year from date of purchase.

Allergy Information

  1. All macarons contain: nuts (almonds), eggs (egg whites) and sugar.

Weddings, Corporate and other large quantity event orders

When ordering quantities greater than 200 macarons please place your order at least 5 weeks prior to your desired delivery date, otherwise rush fees may be incurred. We strongly urge you to get in touch with us by phone or email prior to placing any large orders to avoid disappointment in the event we are unable to fulfil your order needs.

  1. Mademoiselle Macaron requires a non-refundable deposit of 25% in order to place an order.
  2. The link to pay the deposit can be found in the confirmation email from Mademoiselle Macaron.
  3. Our macarons are shipped in custom designed packaging to ensure the quality and freshness of our product. We have worked tirelessly to ensure that our packaging enables the safe arrival of your macarons. Due to the nature of production goods ordered in a specific colour, flavour and appearance may or may not be the exact equivalent of any pictures or samples provided in advance. We cannot take responsibility for any damage caused by our couriers mishandling of the parcel, and will not offer a refund or replacement.
  4. We send our macarons fresh and they are best kept cool in the fridge for up 7 days. Macarons are best consumed at room temperature.
  5. All specifications are approximate only and as the product is handmade, subject to some variation and deviation.
  6. If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so 2 weeks prior to pick up or shipping.

Returns for Weddings, Corporate and other large quantity event orders

  1. Due to the perishable nature of our products, Mademoiselle Macaron does not accept returns for macarons.
  2. We are only able to offer a refund if the items are proven to be faulty and that the fault is in the production of the product. We will require pictures taken within 24 hours of receiving the order.
  3. Depending on circumstances, Mademoiselle Macaron will issue a credit note, discount offer or resend the order.
  4. If, for some reason, you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact our store on 0131 228 4059 within 24 hours of when the package was received, and we will make every effort to make sure you are happy with your Mademoiselle Macaron experience.

Shipping Policy

Shipping and order processing

  1. Mademoiselle Macaron ships orders UK wide using Royal Mail as our third party shipping provider. We use their 24 hour Tracked delivery service. See Royal Mail for their full terms and conditions. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service. The Royal Mail specify that the 24 hour tracked service is an 'aimed for' service where the majority of parcels reach their destination within 24 hours. No complaints can be made until 7 days have passed without delivery.
  2. Royal mail orders are only shipped Monday through Friday and delivery may take up to 6 pm to be delivered.
  3. Orders are processed for shipping between 10 am and 4 pm. Any orders placed after 4 pm will be processed the following day, with the exception of orders placed on a Friday or during the weekend, in which case any orders placed after 4 pm will be processed on following Monday.
  4. Large orders and special deliveries are shipped with Parcelforce 24-hour service. See Parcelforce for their full terms and conditions.
  5. Parcelforce orders must be placed before 12 noon, and may take up to 6 pm the following evening to be delivered.
  6. We do not dispatch on Saturdays, Sundays or Scottish bank holidays.
  7. We do not ship internationally (this includes the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands)
  8. Delivery dates are approximate and no liability whatsoever is accepted in respect of late deliveries that are shipped on time.
  9. Royal Mail shipping that is ‘In time for’ a seasonal event may arrive one or two days earlier than the event if the date falls on a public bank holiday.
  10. You will be sent a dispatch notification via email to tell you your order is on its way.
  11. We cannot take responsibility if the customer is not at home to accept the delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the recipient is available to sign for their parcel. If they are not the parcel will be returned to the depot and a non-delivery card will be left with further instructions.
  12. It is your responsibility to ensure that you order from us with sufficient lead-time to prevent any loss or disappointment resulting from non-shipment or late delivery that is beyond our control.

Nationwide shipping guarantee

  1. Shipments can only be delivered to an order with full name details and street address within the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. For remote area’s such as the Highlands and Islands, please be advised that Parcelforce's guaranteed next day delivery may take up to 48 hours. Please see Parcelforce Next Day Delivery terms and conditions for more information. Mademoiselle Macaron is not responsible for delayed or non-delivery due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
  2. Shipments that are returned or require rerouting due to incorrect addresses will be subject to additional charges for reshipment and/or relabelling for Royal Mail.
  3. Shipping charges will not be refunded for late deliveries in the event the business is closed or if the recipient is not available to receive the package when delivered.
  4. Parcelforce may require a signature for delivery at the discretion of the driver.
  5. Estimated delivery timelines do not take unexpected weather delays into consideration, which may affect shipping and arrival dates. Without prejudice to your statutory rights we accept no liability for any failure to ship products where this results from acts of God, civil commotion, riots, flood, drought, fire, legislation or other factors outside our control, or our decision on reasonable grounds not to do so for reasons of suspicion of credit card fraud or similar, provided that we take all reasonable steps to notify you within fourteen (14) days of order placement that products will not be shipped as ordered.
  6. In such cases we will not process any payment or will immediately refund any payment made, in full.

Order pick-up

  1. Local pick up orders are only available in Edinburgh, and may be picked up at Mademoiselle Macaron located at 22 Grindlay Street, Edinburgh EH3 9AP (opposite the Lyceum Theatre).

Online macaron orders

  1. Our macarons are shipped in custom designed packaging to ensure the quality and freshness of our product. We have worked tirelessly to ensure that our packaging enables the safe arrival of your macarons. Due to the nature of production goods ordered in a specific colour, flavour and appearance may or may not be the exact equivalent of any pictures or samples provided in advance. We cannot take responsibility for any damage caused by our couriers mishandling of the parcel, and will not offer a refund or replacement.
  2. We send our macarons fresh and they are best kept cool in the fridge for up 7 days. Macarons are best consumed at room temperature.
  3. If we are not able to send you one or more of the flavours you have picked for your order, we reserve the right to replace it with a close alternative if your choice is not available.
  4. All specifications are approximate only and as the product is handmade, subject to some variation and deviation.
  5. If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so by 10 am the following day, as this is when we process the orders. This does not apply to orders for next day delivery.
  6. In the event that there is a pricing error on the website we will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price.

Returns for macaron orders

Returns for merchandise orders

  1. Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
  2. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
  3. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
  4. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
  5. Refunds (if applicable): Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 working days.
  6. Exchanges (if applicable): We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at bonjour@mademoisellemacaron.co.uk and send your item (at your own expense) to: 22 Grindlay Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9AP. You will not be reimbursed for shipping.
  7. In the event that there is a pricing error on the website we will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price.

Cancellations and modifications

  1. If you wish to cancel or modify your order you must do so at least 2 working days (excluding weekends) prior to the intended shipment date.
  2. For order cancellation or modification requests, please call us on 0131 228 4059 immediately. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, however, such requests may not be possible due to the order processing schedule. If we are for any reason unable to answer your call please leave us a message including your name, contact number and order number. We aim to respond before close of business that day, or within 24 hours at the latest.

Privacy Policy

  1. When you purchase something from Mademoiselle Macaron, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
  2. With your permission, we may send you emails about Mademoiselle Macaron, new products and other updates.
  3. When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
  4. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
  5. If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at bonjour@mademoisellemacaron.co.uk, or clicking unsubscribe on the newsletter.
  6. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
  7. We use the information we collect about you to process your orders and to provide you with a more personalised shopping experience. Information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
  8. When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of your order status. We also ask for your telephone number, which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.
  9. We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the website.

  1. Mademoiselle Macaron is open Tuesday–Friday, 11 am-6:30 pm, Saturday, 10 am-6:30 pm and Sunday 11 am-5 pm.
  2. The shop is closed for business on Mondays but you can still reach the office for urgent enquiries. Please call us on 0131 228 4059 or email bonjour@mademoisellemacaron.co.ukwith any questions. If we are unavailable to take your call please leave us a message including your name, number and where relevant order number, and reason for calling.
