A Wee Scottish Twist for Burns Night
Fun Fact: I was so homesick and desperate for Irn Bru whilst living in Paris that I paid €7 for a single can of the sweet, luminescent orange, Scottish soft drink. It is a national delicacy but like haggis, it can be very divisive.
Don't get me wrong, I also love French patisserie, French wine, French culture and the odd French man, but there is something about my, and Mademoiselle Macaron's cultural background that supersedes my love for these French fancies... At least for the month of January.
In case you didn't know, 25th January marks Burns' night in Scotland which is a celebration of our national poet. And with that comes a feast of Haggis, Neeps (turnip) and Tatties (potatoes).
Wash this down with a can of Irn Bru and you have yourself a merry Scottish celebration. And to finish? Well, we can't help but suggest a fantastic dessert.
Voilà, we have created a fusion of Scottish-French cuisine for Burns' Night: an Irn Bru and Haggis Spice Chocolate French macarons You can order these French macarons in your custom macaron box along with your other favourite flavours.
Yours affectionately, ae fond kiss,
Mademoiselle Rachel x
