A Disney Design for Selfridges

Every so often, a project comes along that feels a little bit magical. This Christmas, we were delighted to be asked by Selfridges London to create something truly special for their festive afternoon tea at Dolly’s — an afternoon tea inspired by the iconic Disney film Fantasia.

And what better way to bring a touch of wonder to the table than with Mickey Mouse–shaped macarons?

Bringing an Icon to Life — The Mademoiselle Macaron Way

When Selfridges reached out, they had a vision: a macaron that nodded to the timeless charm of Mickey Mouse, while fitting seamlessly into the dreamy, orchestral world of Fantasia. We knew immediately that this called for something handcrafted, characterful, and a little bit whimsical.

So we rolled up our sleeves and began piping - hand-piping every little Mickey silhouette, one by one. Each macaron contained a smooth, dairy-free vanilla filling, keeping it elegant, light, and deliciously simple so the design could shine.

Seeing trays of tiny Mickeys lined up in our kitchen was a moment we won’t forget, not least because it took hours and hours longer than anticipated! We can't have Mickey's ears lopsided after all...

A Secret We’ve Been Keeping…

With the very last order, we held back just a few of these special macarons, a tiny stash for ourselves. And once we saw them all together, with their midnight-blue companions, we knew we couldn’t keep them hidden away.

So for the first time ever, we’re releasing a very limited run of our Mickey Mouse, Disney-inspired macarons.

This exclusive mini-collection features our hand-piped Mickey macarons paired with midnight-blue coloured macarons featuring our classic and best selling flavours: pistachio, chocolate, caramel and vanilla.

It’s a tiny celebration of all the joy this collaboration brought us - and a chance for you to take home a piece of the magic.
