Customer FAQs

I just got some macarons, how long will they keep for?

Our Macarons remain fresh for up to 5 days if kept refrigerated. They are best served at room temperature.

Do you offer a guaranteed next day delivery service for online orders?

Our online orders are shipped with Royal Mail Tracked 24 which is an aimed for next day service and while most orders do arrive the next day, this is not a guarantee.  We do not currently offer a guaranteed next day delivery service. We ask that you request your macarons a day or so earlier than you require them to ensure no disappointment following a late delivery.

The tracking number isn’t working, what can I do and where is my parcel?

Although your tracking number is sent to you immediately after we pack and seal your box, it sometimes takes a few hours for it to get scanned and placed into the system so don’t worry if it doesn’t come up right away.

If you are worried about where it is, Royal Mail can handle enquiries and locate. Try calling on 03457 740 740

Is there space for me to write a message so my friend knows who they’re from?

Yes, absolutely. When you are at the checkout page, you will see a little box that says ‘Notes’ and you can leave a message there for us to write on the packing slip.

Will you include prices in the order?

The answer is non. We know that many of our customers give macarons as gifts and it is our standard packaging process that we don’t include invoices with payment details.

Are all of your macarons gluten free?

Only two of our current macarons contain gluten-  Innis & Gunn beer and Whisky & Honey flavours. This is the result of gluten being present in the whisky and beer used in the macaron production. All other flavours of macarons are completely gluten free. All macarons are made in an environment where no flour is used or handled. Great news for you celiacs!

Do you have any dairy-free macarons?

We currently offer a dairy-free orange macaron.

Do all of your macarons contain chocolate?

Not all of our macarons contain chocolate. For the ease of our customers with food intolerances we have listed all of the ingredients contained in our macarons under the macaron tab on our website. Here you will be able to explore our range of flavours and find the perfect macaron for your tummy!

Are all of your macarons vegetarian friendly?

Do you have a vegan macaron?

Unfortunately we do not yet have a vegan macaron, but rest assured we are working on it!

Do you customise your macarons for weddings, birthday parties or corporate events?

We sure do! To find out more about how we can provide the perfect macarons for your wedding or event please consult the occasions tab on our website.

Are your macarons available to wholesale customers?

Mademoiselle Macaron is always willing to form new wholesale relationships. We currently supply our macarons to delis across Scotland as well as Harvey Nichols and The Balmoral right here in Edinburgh. For information as to our wholesale offers please contact us on 01312284059 or alternatively leave us a message via the contact form on our website.

      International Shipping

Do I have to pay for international shipping if I'm in Northern Ireland?

No, Northern Ireland is covered under the Royal Mail Tracked service. It's the Republic of Ireland that falls under International Shipping requirements.

How quickly will the macarons get to me if they have to travel further across the water to get to me in Ireland?

We use DPD courier service to send our macarons to our Celtic cousins and this is a two day door to door service. You will be sent a tracking number to monitor the progress if your parcel and you'll also get a text to say when it is expected.

This is a signed for service so someone has to be in or you can nominate a safe space by replying to the text from DPD.

      I didn't get a text?!

When you place your order please enter the recipient's mobile number. This is imperative.

Will I be able to get macarons over the weekend?

Post doesn't run in Ireland over the weekend and so we need to have your orders in by Wednesday at midday as the two day service will mean your order gets to you on Friday.  Any later and your parcel will be held up over the weekend in a depot.
