When I first wandered into a local pâtisserie life was never the same again. Inspired (maybe even obsessed) by these culinary jewels, these flavoursome miniature works of art I encountered, I enrolled in the school of iconic Chef Alain Ducasse whilst living in Paris as a young 20 year old Mademoiselle. I learned the secrets of macarons made the right way, or rather, the Parisian way.
Back in Scotland and mourning my life in Paris, I got to work. Creating new flavours of macarons, colourful, beautiful, délicieux. Always with a burning desire to not only recreate that first magical moment in the City of Lights, but to share it with others, wherever they might be...
