We're bringing our French Macarons to Manchester
We’re delighted to share that Mademoiselle Macaron will be part of Thrive Street Manchester this October — a three-day celebration of creativity, craft and community. It’s the kind of event that reminds us why we began: at a market stall speaking to people to bring a little joy, colour and connection one macaron at a time.
🗓️ What is Thrive Street?
Thrive Street is a new retail experience curated by Mary Portas ("The Queen of Shops"), in partnership with Mastercard and Worldpay. Taking place from 17–19 October 2025 at Altogether Otherwise in Manchester’s NOMA district, it’s a showcase of small, purpose-driven brands who put people and planet at the heart of what they do.
By day, it’s a beautiful marketplace filled with independent makers and thoughtful design. By night, it transforms into an inspiring space for conversations, workshops and creativity — a celebration of business done differently.
🍬 Why It Matters to Us
At Mademoiselle Macaron, we’ve always believed that something small can make a big difference — whether it’s a perfectly balanced bite of raspberry or a moment shared over coffee and conversation. Thrive Street is built on that same belief: that independent businesses bring warmth, imagination and care to the world around them.
We’re honoured to be among 15 brilliant brands chosen for their craft, story and ethos. Together, we’ll showcase what it means to thrive as independents — connected by creativity and community.
🍰 What We’re Bringing
At our stall, you’ll find our signature macarons — delicate, colourful and full of flavour — alongside seasonal specialsinspired by the time of year. There’ll also be a few colour-match surprises, and a chance to chat with our pâtissière about the textures, flavours and artistry behind each one.
Our hope? That you leave with something beautiful to taste and a little story to remember.
Going back to our roots
Sometimes it feels like a different lifetime, standing at a market stall in Edinburgh's city centre selling the macarons I'd made at home. Whilst it's great to run an online business, nothing can beat talking to customers.
So if you’re in Manchester, do come and say bonjour. Let’s celebrate small business, creativity and the simple joy of sharing something made with care.
À bientôt,
Rachel
