Role Overview
As Senior Marketing Executive, you'll own the day-to-day planning and execution of Mademoiselle Macaron's marketing — turning strategy into campaign briefs, KPIs, and clear direction for the wider marketing setup. You'll brief and direct our part-time Content Creator, work alongside Claude for drafting and analysis, the Founder for strategy and setting objectives, and be accountable for campaigns actually shipping on time, on-brief, and measured against agreed goals.
This is an execution and coordination role at its core: setting the plan, briefing the people and tools who bring it to life, and following through so nothing quietly slips.

Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Planning & Ownership
• Write a campaign brief and set KPIs for every campaign or launch before execution begins — no campaign starts without both
• Run a recurring trend and competitor review, keeping MM aware of relevant shifts in the gifting and food-gift market
• Own the content calendar and campaign timeline, ensuring every task in Asana has a clear owner and due date
• Chase and follow through on task completion across live campaigns so nothing slips past its date unnoticed
2. Directing Content & Creative
• Brief the Content Creator on campaigns, launches, and seasonal moments, translating strategy into clear creative direction
• Review captured content and create Canva graphics
• Write and refine copy across email (Klaviyo), Shopify product descriptions, and social captions
• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels
3. Channel & Email Execution
• Own email marketing strategy and execution in Klaviyo — segmentation, flows, and campaign sends
• Manage organic content publishing across Instagram, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube
4. Shopify & E-commerce
• Write and update Shopify product descriptions — copy that converts and reflects the brand voice
• Make basic Shopify updates including product listings, collections, and on-site content
• Keep an eye on what's performing and flag opportunities to improve conversion or merchandising
5. Paid Media & Agency Oversight
• Act as informed client to our Google Ads and Meta agency contacts — reviewing performance and briefing priorities, not hands-on managing spend
• Adapt content and offers for paid campaigns in collaboration with agency partners
6. Reporting & Commercial Awareness
• Track and report on campaign and channel performance against the KPIs set at brief stage
• Bring a commercial lens to marketing decisions — tying activity to revenue and margin impact
7. Working with AI Tools
• Use AI tools (we use Claude) as part of day-to-day marketing work: drafting and refining on-brand copy, analysing email and e-commerce performance data, and streamlining campaign planning
8. Brand Representation
• This role is a brand ambassador for Mademoiselle Macaron, reflecting our values, image, and identity in every interaction, with the team and with external stakeholders alike. Skills & Experience — Essential
• 3–5 years' experience in a marketing execution or coordination role, ideally consumer, e-commerce, or gifting
• Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or an equivalent ESP
• Shopify and e-commerce experience: you understand how an online store works and how marketing drives it
• Excellent copywriting across email, social, and product description formats
• A creative eye, you can see what’s trending and what is or isn’t aligned with the brand image
• Comfortable directing and briefing a content creator or designer, and jumping on trends making content yourself if and when required
• Highly organised and deadline-driven, comfortable owning a project board (Asana or equivalent platform) end-to-end
• Commercially minded: you are comfortable working with KPIs, budgets, and performance reporting
• Comfortable and curious working with AI assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to speed up content creation, data analysis, and planning, and good judgement about when human craft matters more
Skills & Experience — Desirable
• Experience using Claude with connected business tools (e.g. Klaviyo, Shopify, Asana) to automate or accelerate marketing workflows
• Own visual content or design skills (Canva/Adobe)
• Experience managing or briefing a freelance or part-time content creator
